The Biosensors and Bioanalysis Group (UAB) participated in the XXIX Transfrontier Meeting on Sensors and Biosensors (TMSB 2025), held in Tarragona on 18–19 September 2025.
The participation included a plenary lecture, an oral communication, and several poster presentations in the framework with the collaboration with BioEclosion, reflecting ongoing work on portable biosensing, electrochemical platforms, and translational diagnostic technologies.
Contributions (titles and presenting researchers)
Plenary lecture
- KN01 — Bridging biosensing technologies from lab to life — María Isabel Pividori (UAB / BioEclosion)
Oral presentation
- OC10 — Exosome-Assisted Electrochemical Genosensing for IFNγ mRNA Detection in Immune Monitoring — Anaixis Del Valle (UAB)
Poster presentations
- PS02 — Portable biosensing device for detecting coliforms in drinking water — Juan Carlos Porras Marichal (BioEclosion)
- PS03 — Handheld Electrochemical Biosensing Device for Mycobacterium Detection Combining Filtration and Immunomagnetic Separation — Melania Mesas (BioEclosion)

Best Poster Award
A key highlight of TMSB 2025 was the First Prize for Best Poster, awarded to Arnau Pallarès-Rusiñol (BioEclosion) for “Portable PCR-Based Genosensing for Point-of-Care Detection of Neonatal Streptococcus agalactiae Infections”.
The Biosensors and Bioanalysis Group (UAB) and BioEclosion would like to thank the TMSB 2025 organizing committee and the jury for their support and recognition, and all attendees for the valuable discussions and feedback throughout the meeting.
